I was asked to create a logo for, then upcoming, Monkeybean Cafe. The client wanted the logo to feature a cheeky monkey, and for the overall design to not be too serious.

This was born out the sketch the client liked best. But it wound up being a little too complex for the client…

… So we decapitated the lil guy and used just his head for the logo.

By this stage in the development, a consultant came on board. And together, we took out the 2018, tried out a million and one different color variations, until we finally landed on what would become Monkeybean’s official logo.
